US significantly raises rebar exports in Jan


According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), US rebar exports in January rose by 45% month on month and by 64% year on year, reaching around 29,000 tons.

Canada remained the top destination for US rebar exports, receiving roughly 24,000 tons, a 138% surge from the previous month and a 45% hike from the same month a year earlier. The Dominican Republic ranked second with 4,100 tons.

In the given month, the export value jumped by 132% month on month and by 53% year on year to US$23 million.
